Yes, I know that it should be several days later in the challenge, but we’ve been attending to some family matters and haven’t had time to do the challenge. I realize that if this were a real challenge that we wouldn’t have that option. Many lessons have been learned.
Here’s what we are planning to eat or have eaten today:
Early a.m. snack: Nonfat Greek yogurt with peanut butter and sliced banana
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with cottage cheese, avocado, pb toast, milk
Lunch: Sourdough whole wheat waffles, homemade pork sausage, hot chocolate
Snack: Apples or oranges, cheese
Dinner: Pizza, chocolate milk (This is a new family tradition to promote family bonding and to give the head cook (me) a night off)
“Teatime:” Homemade pear pie crumble bars (This is another family tradition that we recently started. We have teatime every night. It’s a chance for the family to gather, laugh, and play a game or something. It’s another family bonding activity. We don’t actually drink tea unless it’s herbal tea. We just called it that because I’m patterning it after British high tea.
